Grove Isle Hotel & Spa

The first weekend in June will be a time that I get to experience the Grove Isle Hotel.  After reviewing their website I am extremely excited to experience the relaxation and casual-luxury.

We will be staying there for one evening because a childhood friend is having her wedding on the property.  We chose to stay there rather than drive home that evening because it looked like a beautiful hotel.  It doesn't hurt that my birthday is a few days before :)  I will be sure to include a detailed review upon my return.

Dawn, Dallas, and Las Vegas

Yesterday I went on a tour of the Norwegian Dawn cruise ship. See photos HERE. I love seeing ships I haven't sailed on and learning about all they have to offer.  It was quite obvious that Spring Break is upon us.  I think the college students outnumbered the other groups 2 to 1.

In about four days I will be embarking on my very first adventure to Dallas, Texas!  I have only been to Texas once before, I was in Houston for 36 hours for a wedding last year.

My husband, Matt, and I will be staying with my father.  He moved out there a few years ago due to a job transfer.  He is going to show us all the hot spots and attractions.

I am mostly looking forward to Billy Bob's- The Largest Honky Tonk out in Fort Worth Stockyards.  It sounds like quite an adventure :)

My second bit of excitement is Dealey Plaza- location of the JFK Assassination.  I will be sure to report on my experience next week once I return.

Over the weekend we booked our Vegas trip.  We'll be staying in Caesars Palace for 7 days in July :)
It's going to be HOT HOT HOT in the summer, but I am excited for my very first trip to Sin City.
